Maria has a Bachelors degree in Dietetics & Nutrition from San
Francisco State University and is an active member for the American
Dietetic Association and California Dietetic Association. Her clinical
experience working in hospitals has enabled her to assess high risk
patients where nutrition is key for survival. Her passion is working
with clients one on one to help improve existing medical conditions
through diet and exercise. An avid exerciser and long distance runner,
Maria has successfully placed as the first place female finisher in
half marathons and 10k running races in the Bay Area. In 2006 she
completed the Boston marathon and consistently trains for local and
upcoming races.

management and improved energy. Weight loss Boot Camp and Weight
Management Training are programs designed to help clients drop weight
and keep it off. She will educate her clients on how to make healthy
choices, find hidden problems in various food items and provide her
clients with grocery store handouts with specific foods that provide an
optimal balance of carbohydrates, protein and fat. She is available to
be your personal nutrition coach, food label expert and will teach you
how to adopt a food plan that will keep you energetic, fit and lean.

Maria’s professional experience and interest is working with people
one-on-one who struggle with their weight and are looking for a
realistic and easy plan to help them achieve fat loss, muscle
enhancement and improved energy. With numerous racing victories and
knowledge in exercise physiology, Maria has a very balanced perspective
on how to apply exercise and diet to weight loss.
Developing meal plans is her area of expertise. Maria’s knowledge and
experience has enabled her to develop individualized meal plans that
are realistic and long-term options that work for people who want a
real solution to their diet concerns and most importantly encourage
weight loss.
My Nutrition Philosophy
The key to successful weight loss is possessing solid nutrition
knowledge, having a solid support group and a dedicated coach. These 3
items are crucial during the process of creating a new and healthier
lifestyle. Weight loss is challenging, but if you have the right coach
success is inevitable.
